Your Easter visitors are the easiest and cheapest targets to generate more visits throughout the year and to bring new visitors by them posting their experiences on Facebook and Instagram.

There are 3 easy steps to achieving this win:

  1. Decide what you will focus on to attract these visits. Be specific in what activity will be the focus of your efforts. Will you focus on weekenders, conferences, hiking or stress breaks? Ensure that there are people holidaying with you over Easter that will be attracted to this activity category. Don’t make the mistake of trying to be general in your offer as it is unlikely to attract anyone.
  2. Structure an offer that is likely to stick in the minds and cause them to consider it when they return home or to their businesses. It need not be a special on price. It could be a compelling reason that makes your destination or product a must-do alternative for them. Is there the winter arrival of a rare bird species that bird watchers would one to their sighting list? Is there a unique mountain bike trail that is only accessible for a week or two during the spring season? Is there a great event happening that would interest them? Remember to choose only one of the activities to promote.
  3. Create a story that you will tell to your visitors to attract them and their social media friends. In other words, don’t sell them, as customers no longer enjoy this approach. Rather tell them why it is special and how it will make them feel. You may believe that you are too tired from having built up to the Easter Weekend and will leave this for next year. I can assure you that some of your competitors will take advantage of this opportunity and you will have missed a cheap and effective opportunity to generate more tourist numbers throughout the year.
